Twenty pictures from Manzano Day School have been chosen to represent the school in Pentel's 36th International Children's Art Exhibition in Japan. The vivid imagination of a child is the recurring theme for the event. Artwork is judged on the basis of originality, clearly expressed content and cultural expression. Winners will be announced in May or June of 2006.
Madison, now a fourth grader, won top honors (Supreme Gold Award) in the 35th International Children's Art Exhibition for her artwork titled "My Cat." See the special interview featured in the Thanksgiving edition of the "Albuquerque Tribune" (http://www.abqtrib.com/albq/neighbors/article/).
