Silver Sun Exhibit A Great Success!
The 3rd Grade exhibition at Silver Sun Gallery was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who was able to come and support our young artists. I met one collector who flew in from Connecticut to see the show and purchase work!
Mrs. Rimsha attended the first portion of the reception, and I attended the second. The photos Mrs. Rimsha took can be viewed at our website http://mds3visarts.blogspot.com.
Thank you to PNM for sponsoring the project with a PNM Classroom Innovation Grant.
Many thanks to Kathy Sanchez, Cheryl Ingram, Robin Carlson, Donna Herbrand, Peggy Gilchrist, and Lynn Holm at Silver Sun for hosting the reception and setting up the exhibit, as well as repairing some of the sculptures prior to the show.

Today I made 2 pocket creatures. Ones name is Chiko; the other one's name is Blueberry. I made them out of beads, pom-poms, googly eyes, and corks, and pipe cleaners. -- Eloise
On the last day of art I made a pocket creature. It was made out of a purple craft stick, yellow feather; wine cork and red pipe cleaners. It has a plastic orange jewel, too. --Nicholas
